Weather is changing fast and becoming more extreme

On January 4th of 2018, NOAA reported the following tweet showing what is named as a Cyclone Bomb or Winter Cyclone. That week ended with almost the entire East Coast being covered in a sheet of snow. A large, rapidly intensifying winter storm that began on Wednesday dumped over a foot of snow in New England, but also brought with it damaging winds, and dangerous, icy, coastal flooding.

WHY Solar Forecasting will disrupt the Energy Storage Market

When it comes down to addressing the mismatch between energy demand and energy generation, the storage of solar energy is one of the most (if not the most) promising technologies.

Consequently, established companies, startups and newly-arrived players are positioning themselves in the power electronics and batteries market, preparing for expected business growth. However, since this market is in a very preliminary stage, energy policies applied from now on will play a vital role in its development.

HOW is the Solar Power Forecasting actually made?

Solar Power Forecast

Nowadays, power forecasting has already become a vital component of the energy market. Being able to know if generation will be enough to match demand is no longer a convenience, but a necessity. However, the difficulty associated with executing a precise forecast varies in function of which technology is used to produce that power, and it is widely accepted that power generation from solar energy occupies a top spot on the list.

Wind of change for the energy forecasting services in the Turkish energy market

The Turkish renewable energy market is at the peak of its development. The country has set a target to acquire 30% of all its electricity needs from renewable energy resources by 2023. For the wind energy industry, this means that the installed capacity of wind power plants should be 20 GW by then. The country’s techno-economic potential for wind energy is estimated at 48 GW.

What did we learn at INTERSOLAR EUROPE?

For the second consecutive year Nnergix has attended INTERSOLAR EUROPE in Munich, where the most important players within the solar sector introduced new products, services and where we could check out the latest trends in this amazing field. INTERSOLAR EUROPE 2016 was attended by more than 44,000 visitors, once again becoming the most important solar event in Europe. Nnergix’s booth was located at Hall3 as a PV services company.
