POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a software developer to develop and maintain the frontend part of an engineering tool in a production environment. We seek a talented developer with excellent programming skills and highly motivated on the implementation of visualisations for geolocated data.

The candidate should be comfortable working on open-ended projects within an international team and interacting with external companies. The candidate will lead the implementation of the GIS display & visualisations package for an existing software tool. Familiarity with data visualisation techniques is a great plus.

The candidate will be part of a highly motivated and experienced team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Front & Backend Developers and Scientists facing great technical challenges in the field of renewable energies. The team is committed to best practices and excellence while developing robust and reusable software code.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science or similar disciplines.

  • Demonstrable experience and interest working in GIS (Geographic Information System; i.e. leaflet, mapbox, qgis)

  • Interest in building robust code by applying best practices (clean code, OOP, ...)

  • Interest in data visualization and map representation (heatmaps, multi layer plots, etc.)

  • Initiated in technologies such as;  CSS, vuetify, Material design, VueX, Axios

  • Used to work with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban board, …)

  • Experience with version control tools and continuous integration

  • Being a “problem solver”, positive attitude and ability to work in a team

  • Good communication skills

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

NICE TO HAVE

  • Vue JS programming skills.

  • Used to work in time series data formats

  • Knowledge of TDD & DDD

  • Familiar with AWS and Docker

  • Knowledge of library plots (d3...)
